LEN LTD L4KGI01 4K/12G SDI VIDEO Galvanic isolator (barrel style)

Overview

L4KGI 01 is a miniature inline isolator providing full broadcast quality transmission of the 12G/4K UHD SDI video signal whilst blocking both the signal and ground DC paths. 

It is for use with full 12G/4K UHD SDI video and all lower standards including 6G, 3G, HD and SDI.  It is built in a cylindrical plastic (for isolation) enclosure, fitted with a BNC connector at each end.  A version with industry/standard size flange mounting is also available, see Model L4KGI 02.

Transparent to a broadcast/quality signal, they are useful in both permanent and temporary installations.

Further Notes

LEN ground isolators use broadband high-pass filters to provide isolation of DC currents between two pieces of equipment, whilst permitting the full bandwidth of the SDI signal to pass, thus avoiding problems of signal distortion and operator shocks caused by a voltage difference. This method out-performs broadband transformers for SDI signals. Both signal and ground paths between equipment are isolated, there is no distortion of the signal. They are also suitable for ASI format.
