For remote recording, insert any LP-E6 battery into the back of the camera and then place it in the desired location. The battery level is shown in an overlay when the camera is connected to an HDMI display, or on a PAL/NTSC video monitor that allows you to control the remaining battery even when the camera is operated remotely.

There is also an LED light on the camera that indicates both the remaining battery and the recording status. The included distribution cable has a 12V input jack that allows you to use external power sources or even install your own custom long-lasting power supply system!
