Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel

The Blackmagic Design davinci Resolve Micro Panel is a portable control surface that provides the davinci Resolve software with more control and a faster workflow than working with just the keyboard and mouse. Suitable for editors and colorists who need a portable control surface. It features three high-resolution weighted trackballs and 12 control knobs to access the Resolve software’s essential primary color correction tools. Eighteen dedicated buttons on the right also provide access to the classification functions and playback controls most commonly used.

The Micro Panel uses a USB 3.0 Type-C interface that allows you to connect to a computer or laptop and power the panel, eliminating the need for a separate power supply. It also interfaces with Mac, Windows or selected Linux systems. For the panel to work with Resolve, your computer must be equipped with davinci Resolve 14.3 or davinci Resolve Studio 14.3 or later. A included USB 3.0 Type-A to USB Type-C cable provides backward compatibility for systems that have USB 3.0 Type-A ports.

Small enough to take with you, so you can use it in any Resolve system (14.3 or later) and do color correction on the spot or in the editor suite.

Luminance

Y lift Control: adjusts the contrast of the image in darker areas, only in the Y channel (luminance). This adjustment allows you to change the black point without changing the saturation.
Gamma Y Control: Adjusts the contrast of the image in the halftone areas, specifically in the Y (luminance) channel. It is ideal for highlighting whites and getting an ethereal look.

Contrast

Contrast manager: increase contrast to make blacks darker and whites brighter, or Sharpen contrast to do the opposite.
Pivot: Change the center of tone on which the dark and bright parts of the image are stretched or narrowed when adjusting the contrast.
Detail of half tones: Increase the contrast of image regions with a large margin of detail, to increase or reduce the perception of sharpness and definition, or when regions with few details are attenuated leaving intact those rich in detail. It is ideal for softening the characteristics of faces and for beauty shots.

Color control: Increases saturation in the low-saturated regions of the image without affecting the others. Also known vividness, it is useful to add color without saturating the image excessively.
Shadow control: Selectively brighten or darken the shadow details without affecting the medium tones of the image.
Light control: Enable the recovery of overexposed details in high dynamic range images but without changing the midtones, for a uniform and natural look.

Saturation

By increasing or decreasing the overall saturation of the image, you can turn the color image into a grayscale image with this control.
Dye check: Rotate all the shades of the color wheel 360º image. The default is 50, which keeps the original color distribution.
Control of the luminance mix: Controls the balance between the YRGB and Y parameter adjustments made using the lift, gamma, and gain Y controls in the primary palette or luminance curve.
