The new TVA Vicenza TV Studio with 4K Ultra HD Control Room
TVA Vicenza: a state-of-the-art regional television studio
Videomedia S.p.A. needed to completely upgrade its production infrastructure for the television broadcaster “TVA Vicenza”, achieving a radical technological transition towards 4K Ultra HD workflows and low-consumption Full LED lighting.

The Project
The main challenge for Professional Show as a System Integrator was to make top international brand equipment (Panasonic, Blackmagic Design, Yamaha, Sennheiser) coexist and natively communicate within a seamless, secure ecosystem, tailored for television broadcasting, creating a visually appealing and functionally perfect space for the purposes required by the client.

Studio Equipment and UHD Cameras
We installed:
- Robotic PTZs: Installation of 5 Panasonic AW-UE150AKEJ 1" 4K broadcast cameras paired with mobile column stands and controlled by an AW-RP150GJ remote IP panel.
- Studio Cameras on Fiber: Integration of Panasonic AK-UC3300GSJ 4K cameras connected via fiber CCU (Lemo-3T) with optical modules for signals to and from the master control room.
- Lenses: Professional Canon HDTV and Fujinon HD/12X lenses with full-servo control systems, supported by Cartoni Focus-18 pneumatic tripods.

Digital Scenography: Ledwalls and Totems
We managed the visual staging of the TV studio:
- Immersive Curved Background: Design and assembly of a custom curved support structure for a massive Ledwall consisting of 108 Ledshine Tech US1.9 LED panels (1.95mm pitch, 800 nits) driven by a Novastar VX2000PRO controller.
- Side Totems: Supply of 2 mobile vertical LED totems on wheels to enhance scene dynamics.
- Graphics Processors: Management of graphics assets through the MFK200040 media processor with an m-frame software license.

VIDEO CONTROL ROOM & PRODUCTION SUITE
- Core of the Control Room: Implementation of a Blackmagic Design ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K video switcher, paired with the ATEM 2 M/E Advanced Panel 40 control surface.
- Signal Routing: Installation of a main 12G 40x40 video matrix for production control and a 12G 80x80 SDI matrix entirely dedicated to master control.
- Graphics and Recording: Integrated ClassX LBStation-HD workstation for broadcast graphics generation and HyperDeck Studio HD Pro recorder for clip archiving.

STUDIO LIGHTING
For the lighting department, the solutions we chose to implement are:
- Effects Lighting: 9 GTD Lighting 4-function moving heads (Beam/Wash/Spot) with a CRI higher than 95 for flawless color rendering on faces.
- Panels and Fresnels: 12 Prolights variable white LED Fresnel lights (2700K-5600K) and 300W Maclay Light LED panels.
- Structures: Installation of Alumaster square series (29Q) aluminum trusses with Muraro telescopic drop arms.

Audio Infrastructure & Networking
- Mixers & Speakers: 32-channel Yamaha TF5 audio mixer paired with Yamaha MSP3A control monitors and JBL EON-700 series speakers.
- Wireless Microphones: Sennheiser EW-DX series digital wireless system featuring 6 dual-channel receivers, handheld transmitters, and cardioid lavalier bodypacks.
- Network Backbone: 48-port Netgear M4300-52G PoE network switch for managing all IP control streams.

The success of the project relied not only on the hardware but also on the integrated approach of our services:
- Structural Engineering: Drafting of the structural calculation report to ensure the safety of suspended loads (trusses and lights).
- On-Site Cabling and Installation: Complete cabling of the new studio and physical integration into the racks.
- Calibration and Testing: Technical assistance, testing, and final commissioning of the equipment to ensure zero latency.
- Staff Training: On-site training sessions for TVA Vicenza technicians on how to operate the new consoles and graphics systems.
Thanks to the system integration work carried out by Professional Show, Videomedia S.p.A. now boasts one of the most modern regional television studios in Italy. The transition to 4K Ultra HD, the extreme routing flexibility of the 12G matrix, and the dynamic Ledwall scenography allow TVA Vicenza to produce content with national-level quality standards, optimizing transition times between different programs thanks to centralized IP control.
