Chorus Life It's Bergamo's new entertainment center, bringing technological innovation to the world of entertainment. With a capacity of 5,000 seats and retractable stands, the center is designed to host events of all kinds, with particular attention to the quality of the connections and audio-video technologies used. The Arena Project
The center's beating heart is the arena, designed to offer a multifunctional space that easily adapts to the needs of any type of event. Thanks to its retractable stands, the arena can be transformed to suit the needs of the event, ensuring maximum versatility. Technological connections and audio-visual systems are available throughout the arena, with particular attention to the quality and reliability of the infrastructure.
ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES AND CONNECTIONS
The Chorus Life arena is equipped with an advanced connection network, designed to meet the needs of live and broadcast productions. Here are some of the main features:
- Fiber Connections and Access Points: The arena is equipped with fiber optic connections distributed across three levels, with a total of 18 equipped pits. Each pit includes 16A and 32A sockets, six fiber optic connections, and a power outlet
duplex, 2 SMPTE311 chambers, and 1 triax. On the first level, 7 ceiling boxes can be lowered to operating level, while on the second level there are 6 additional wall boxes. The roof walkways are equipped with 4 fiber connection points with 12 terminals each. - Sala Tecnica CentralizzataNetwork connections are centralized in a room on the second level, which houses the audio and video control rooms, commentators' stations, and a dedicated flight case storage area. Connections are managed via a dedicated network, which supports Dante, NDI, 12G SDI, SMPTE 2110, and more.
HIGH POWER AUDIO SUPPORT
The installed audio system consists of 4 RCF clusters, with 2 front clusters (12 HDL-50) and 2 side clusters (6 HDL-28). RCF RDNT control system, allows real-time configuration of the DSPs in the speakers, adapting the audio to the needs of the event. The installed audio mixer is a Yamaha CL5, supported by two Rio3224d2 stages.
LIGHTING AND MOVEMENT SYSTEMS
Lighting and movement of the structure are other areas in which Chorus Life excels thanks to the advanced technology applied by Professional Show.
- Motorized Grille and Light Control: A double 12x6 meter motorized grid was installed for lighting installation. The automated management of the 16 hoists allows for different inclinations to adapt to any event. The UNIRIG control system manages 16 D8+ motors with inverters and on-board load sensors, as well as 8 motors for the crates and other suspensions.
- Lighting and Special Effects System The lighting system is managed by a Cuecore4 control unit for the field lighting and by an MA3 + wings for the special effects, with 106 Gewis GWP2495 LED lights mounted on 240m trusses.
- LED Wall and Multimedia Video:A 24x3-meter motorized LED wall with Samsung panels was installed on one wall of the arena, while an 80-meter-long LED strip, measuring 0.5 meters wide, covers the second-tier stands. All video systems and the LED strip are connected to an 8-channel Datatone WatchPax server, ensuring a high-quality viewing experience.
- Electrical and Power Distribution: To support the power needed for the events, 28 distribution panels were installed in the attic walkway and three power panels to manage a total of 500kW available for the stages. These panels are mounted in special racks to optimize operating space.
